WHITCHURCH WASPS QUIZ
Just For Fun
Just for a little bit of fun here is a link to a quiz about swimming
Wasps Autumn Competition – It’s a Rollover!!!!
Yes…there’s £20 up for grabs in this autumn’s competition.
All you have to do is work out what all of these people have in common. What is their common link? Here’s a clue – one of them is from Shropshire!!!

Then come up with your own creative slogan for the club. This could be the start of your career in marketing. If your slogan is excellent we might use it in the future on t-shirts, track suits, banners etc. Here are some ideas on slogans to get you thinking.
“Ferries are for Wimps”
“Winning…It’s a Wasp Thing”
“Swim 2 Win”
“Born 2 Swim…Coached 2 Win”
“Dare 2 Dream”
“Think Big…Swim Big…Win Big”
“Ian Thorpe, Michael Phelps, Me…Prepare 2 be Beaten”
All correct responses will be entered into a draw and the winner of this competition will be the club member who’s name is then first out of the hat. The winner will receive a £20 gift token to spend at the club’s shop.
The decision of the trustees will be final. Send your votes/suggestions to Jon Pardoe (jonpardoe@hotmail.co.uk) by no later than 31st December 2006.

Previsous Wasps Quizzes
The Adidas swimsuit worn by world-record holder Ian Thorpe evolved out of Alpine Ski-ing. The concept of the suit evolved around muscle compression…a suit so tight it stiffens the body so that it penetrates water like a dart and limits muscle oscillation, so that the on-set of fatigue is delayed. Each Adidas suit is used for just one competition race – following which it needs to be cut off his body. Because so few of these suits are actually made to this specification the cost of Adidas providing each suit is according to Ian Thorpe how many Australian dollars? (NB: An Australian Dollar is approximately 42 pence).
The winner of this quiz will be a club member who e-mails the closest answer by 31st May 2006. The winner will receive a £10 gift token to spend at the club’s shop.
