The Charlottes become Honorary Members

The Charlottes seen here with team mates Hannah Gilbert and Natasha Forrester after winning the Medley Relay title in 2005 aged 12.
Congratulations to Charlotte Evans and Charlotte Archdeacon who have been awarded Honorary Membership of the Wasps in recognition of the many years that they have been members of the Club; the numerous galas and events where they have represented the club; and the successes they have had.
Together the Charlottes have clocked up nearly 20 years membership of the Wasps, have trained with us for over 5200 hours, swum over 6,000 miles and have represented the Club in more than 250 galas. They have flown the flag for Whitchurch at the National and Regional Championships and have represented the County and their schools on numerous occasions.
Always good friends and sometimes rivals throughout their swimming careers, perhaps their proudest moments have been when they could team up at the Shropshire Relay Championships where they have consistently put in winning performances to gain the County title no less than 10 times.
Their hard work in the pool has also been reflected in their academic studies and both girls are soon off to University. Charlotte Evans will be at Manchester studying Biomedical Science and Charlotte Archdeacon is off to Stirling to study Sport and Exercise Science. We wish them all the best and look forward to seeing them back in the pool at training. We hope too that they might still be able to sometimes make themselves available to swim for the Wasps.
