Jamie Taylor Hangs Up His Legskins

The NASL final saw the last swim for Jamie Taylor who has decided to call time on his swimming career. Never one to play down an occasion, when presented with the Presidents Cup, Jamie looked to the spectator gallery where his parents had just witnessed his final race…

On a more serious note, the Taylor family has been involved with the Wasps for the last 11 years. Both Jamie and his sister, Charlotte represented the club on numerous occasions at league galas and both were county age group medal winners individually and in relays.

Jamie has also been selected for the Shropshire team at inter county galas on several occasions. As talented young athletes as well as great swimmers, they have both also represented the West Midlands at the National Biathlon Championships.

Anne Taylor was a committee member, club treasurer and poolside helper for a number of years and has always been a great supporter of the club.

So we say goodbye to Jamie’s wit and repartee and a big thank you from everyone in the club to all the family for their tremendous support over the years.
