Wasps break records at Chester and District Schools Gala
A formidable team of four Wasps swimmers took the Chester and District Schools Gala by storm last Monday when they won their age group by a clear 26 points.
Representing Bishop Heber High School in the annual gala held at Christleton, Abi Fawcett, Lydia Jamieson, Lucy Davies and Bryony Archdeacon won all but one of the 6 events and broke four Chester and District Schools records.
Abi Fawcett won the 50m Breastroke in a record time of 39.84 and also pipped team-mate Lydia Jamieson to the post to win the 50m backstroke. Bryony Archdeacon won the 100m IM in a new record time of 1:14.82 as well as winning the 50m Freestyle event. Lydia Jamieson added to her second place in the backstroke with second in the 25m butterfly.
The fab four then smashed both the Medley and Freestyle relay records to secure a stunning victory.
