Open Gala Successes
Well done to the
Wasps swimmers who took part in the recent Crystal and Brierley Hill
Open Galas at Wolverhampton. Eleanor and Ed Reid and Bryony Archdeacon
achieved 6 pbs at the Crystal Gala and Bryony came third in the 100m
Backstroke.
At Brierley Hill
the Wasps were represented by Ed and Eleanor Reid, Abi Fawcett, Lydia
Jamieson, and Bryony and Charlotte Archdeacon.
Between them they notched up 12 pbs and Abi made it to the
final of the 100m Breastroke where she came 4th. Charlotte
came 3rd in the Open 100m Breaststroke and 100m Back and
won the 200m Backstroke as well as achieving 5 Midland District
qualifying times. Lydia, in true Lydia style, battled to the bitter
end in her races to win the 12/13yrs 100m and 200m Fly. It was a long
weekend but well every ounce of effort – well done.
