Wasps Return Triumph

Round One of this years Deva League should have been declared a technical knockout, after the first few events.

In a packed and very modern swimming centre at Chirk, the Wasps flexed their muscles and dominated inferior opponents from start to finish.

Against Oswestry, Knutsford and Neston, the Wasps were able to demonstrate just how far they have travelled in swimming terms over the last couple of years.

Emerging, over that period of time, from the backwater of mediocrity, the Wasps were nothing but excellent – nothching up a fantastic 197 points – 33 ahead of our closest rivals Oswestry.

Out of 46 races we won 31 and came second in 10. Magnificent!!

It’s now onto Knutsford in Round Two, on Saturday 29th September – where we need to inflict even further pain upon our rivals.
