Lane Qualification – Changes to Criteria

Following on from the recent announcement of changes to the Wasp 1 challenges - overall Lane Qualification criteria has now been reviewed.

After much discussion and deliberation we have taken the decision to make a few alterations / clarifications & improvements to the criteria. These will become effective with immediate effect.

The main benefit of this will be that all swimmers will now be assessed at time trials on 50m times - instead of the previous 25m distance. This will provide a more up to date and accurate reflection of a swimmers competitive potential and assist swimmers in working towards the goal of County, Midland District and National Championships. All existing swimmers will have until July 1st  2007 to attain these new qualification criteria.
