PBs Tumble at Day 3 of 2006 Club Championships - 27th April

Day 3 of this years club championships witnessed the 100m Individual Medley and the 200m Freestyle. Whitchurch Pool was packed to the rafters with the anticipation of swimmers battling it out for bronze, silver and gold medals.

Gold medals in the 100m IM went to Robert Flack, Jamie Crawford, Jack Machin, Jamie Taylor, Ben Williams, Joshua Edge, Alfie Pardoe, Clarrie Hocknell, Laura Bull, Bryony Archdeacon, Abi Fawcett and Lucy Ormrod and Charlotte Archdeacon in a new club record time of 1:15.56 – a full 3 seconds faster than the previous record which had been held by Charlotte Grandfield since 2001.

In the 200m Freestyle gold medals were won by Clarrie Hocknell, Charlotte Archdeacon, Laura Bull, Bryony archdeacon, Abi Fawcett, Kitty Aberton, Robert Flack, Philip Austin, Jack Machin, Joe Evans, Connah Suttle-Jones, Josh Edge and Alfie Pardoe.

A fantastic total of 89 PBs underlined the massive strides forward that virtually all of our swimmers are taking and the future looks very bright.
