Wasps Secure Additional Training Time at Wem Pool

As part of the Clubs continuing desire to offer swimmers more pool time, we have secured Wem Swimming Centre for Monday nights 6pm – 7pm during school term time and 7pm – 8pm during school holidays. The first of these sessions is on Monday 27th March.

This initiative follows the feedback, that we received from the recent membership questionnaire, which indicated that Wem was a very popular second choice pool for a number of swimmers.

As a Club we now have a total of 12.5 hours per week of pool training time available spread between Whitchurch, Market Drayton, Christleton and Wem. This is more than at any time in the clubs recent history and we are slowly but surely moving towards our target of being able to provide 20 hours of training per week.

Initially these Monday Wem sessions will be allocated to tadpoles and lane 5 swimmers – but it is anticipated that these sessions will in time be expanded to cater for other lanes.
