Wasps open day Sunday 12th March - Olympic glory and party bags beckon

With the London Olympics in 2012 – just 6 years away – the Wasps - have launched a major new recruitment initiative.  The aim is to seek out promising young swimmers aged between 7 and 11 living within a 12 mile radius of Whitchurch who have the ambition, vision and determination to dare dream of Olympic glory.

As part of this initiative the Wasps will be holding an Open Day at Whitchurch Swimming Centre on Sunday 12th March 2006 from 1.30pm – 3pm. All children, able to swim a minimum of 50 metres, are invited to come along to find out about the club, to get wet, make new friends and above all have a lot of fun. Special Wasp party bags will be given to all swimmers – both new and existing members - who attend.

All existing swimmers not competing in the County Championships are invited to attend – bring a friend or two.

All budding young Olympians should turn up this Sunday armed with costumes and goggles – ready for action.
