SWIMMER OF THE MONTH

This award is given each month to the swimmer who in the eyes of all of the coaching staff has shown the most improvement.

March 2006

The March 2006 Swimmer of the Month has been awarded to Abi Fawcett.  Abi has increased her training times and swims as often as she possibly can.  Her performance in the County Championships was outstanding against some very strong opposition – in fact the strongest we have seen for many years with six swimmers in her age group gaining MDQTs. 

However, this aside, Abi impressed everyone at the County Championships when, because of a mistake by the officials, she had to swim her 50M backstroke event alone and despite this gained a silver medal!  Well done Abi!  We were all so proud of you!
