CLOSED CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Whitchurch Wasps Closed Club Championships usually take place in the autumn of each year. See the notice board section of this website for details and dates. All Club swimmers are encouraged to attend and compete against their peers in their respective age categories.

Gold, Silver and Bronze medals are awarded to the top three in each event for each age group.  For many young swimmers this will be the first time they have the opportunity to receive recognition for their efforts and the competition is usually fierce.

The Club keeps records of all Closed Club Championship recorded times going back to the initiation of the club in the 80’s.  Many of these Club Championship times stack up against just about any other swimming club in the U.K, and there is significant prominence and recognition given to those swimmers achieving a Championship record time.
