Whitchurch Wasps Swimming Club Party on Dry Land

Swimmers from the Wasps were all dressed up as they attended their annual presentation night. The top swimmers in the club received trophies for their achievements  over the last year.

Each swimmer gained points over the year when they beat their PB's or came in the medal places at the galas they attended.

The Wasps who now swim in the crusader league compete at a number of galas over the year as well as their own closed club championships, the county championships and many open galas. Training is based at the Whitchurch pool, ten hours each week and two nights land training at Whitchurch Leisure Centre.

New swimmers try out over a four week trial period and have one hour sessions developing their strokes and stamina before they move up the lanes ultimately to the Elite swimmers. All the coaches give their time free with four or five at each session.  The Wasps love to win but value their friendly and caring approach to get the best out of the swimmers. The club is a great place to be, where you can develop your skills and make new friends
